Amie and her family

Meet the Team Member: Amie Leo

December 5, 2023/in News

Our employees are our best asset, and they deserve a spotlight in our blogs every now and then. So, we will occasionally feature employees in our “Meet the Team Member” blogs. It’s an opportunity to get to know the dedicated people behind our name.

For our first team member spotlight, we sat down with Customer Service Manager Amie Leo. Amie has been a valued employee at Isensix for over 15 years, providing attentive support to our customers and helping define company procedures.

Tell us a little about your background.
When I joined Isensix, I started out as a Customer Service Representative and worked my way into the Manager role. I learned everything I could about our products and our procedures so I could provide the best support to our customers. Over time, I’ve also helped further define our processes to help make our team more effective.

What do you do in your role as a Customer Service Manager at Isensix?
First and foremost, I strive to make all our customers happy, ensuring the best level of support possible. I also support my team, training every Technical Support Representative at Isensix so they can independently assist customers with their inquiries. In addition, I manage escalated or high-level inquiries and software upgrade projects.

Tell us about an experience that made you feel like you belonged at Isensix.
A little over a decade ago, Isensix’s President told me that he wanted to relocate our office in San Diego, CA to Hartland, WI and asked if I would move to help start the Support Team there. I was going to be the only one relocated. Although I was already part of the Isensix family, that was the point when Isensix became a part of mine – if that makes sense.

What’s the most interesting project or idea you are working on right now?
We are testing our new Guardian 2.2 software, and it’s neat to be involved in the planning and testing phases of the project. In my role, I’m also uniquely able to articulate our customers’ needs and help implement their requests.

Why do you like working at Isensix?
I like working at Isensix because we are truly a team. Ideas are never ignored, and we all enjoy helping each other.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
In general, I don’t have much “spare time.” When I’m not working at Isensix, you can usually find me at a football field, baseball field or basketball court with one of my kids. I have 2 boys, ages 12 and 7, and they both play multiple sports, which certainly keeps me busy. Along with that, I have a 2-year-old English Mastiff that I train and enter in dog shows.

Do you have any secret talents?
I am a hobby baker! I use the term “hobby baker” lightly – I have my own Facebook page and obtain all my clients through word of mouth. I bake cakes – fondant or iced, large or small – cupcakes and all types of cookies. I also sing and play the piano, but it’s been a long time since I’ve done that in front of anyone.

Anything else you would like to share?
I appreciate our entire staff and am truly grateful to have such a wonderful team to work with. Along with that, we are lucky to have such fantastic customers to support. Isensix means a great deal to me, and I’m glad to be a part of their Isensix experience.
