15 Years of Guardian: Innovation That Continues to Serve
In 2011, environmental monitoring technology looked very different. That’s when Isensix introduced Guardian, a software platform designed to bring greater flexibility and control to wireless environmental monitoring. Its modern interface and ability to support multiple monitoring platforms represented an important step forward at that time for hospitals, laboratories and research facilities.
Guardian remains part of the Isensix story today, and part of the daily operations of customers who use it to protect critical environments.
Built Around a Changing Industry
Guardian was developed because Isensix thought environmental monitoring should do more than collect temperature readings. It should provide information that helps organizations identify problems and document corrective actions while protecting valuable products and assets.
That philosophy helped Guardian stand apart. The system could be scaled with a facility and provide real-time data and alerts. The wireless architecture also gave facilities flexibility when equipment or spaces changed.
Guardian also evolved based on customer needs. As technology and regulatory expectations changed, so did security enhancements, reporting capabilities, system updates and functionality.
A Platform with a Long Customer History
At Isensix, part of the DwyerOmega brand alongside SensoScientific, we know many Guardian customers have been using their systems for years. Some have expanded from an individual laboratory or department to multiple facilities and applications.
That’s no surprise. Isensix is committed to supporting existing customers. We have emphasized software remains compatible with hardware installed many years ago, helping customers protect their investment. Guardian software works with and supports, not only Guardian devices, but also ARMS and SensoScientific devices as well.
Guardian is still a robust monitoring solution today, even as we are always looking ahead. Developing the next generation of ARMS technology is an important part of the future, providing customers with new capabilities and options as monitoring technology advances. Even with that development, Guardian remains an important part of the Isensix portfolio and reminds us good technology isn’t simply about being innovative when it launches. It’s about continuing to deliver value, adapting to changing needs and supporting the customers who trust it in the first place.
Fifteen years after introduction, that’s a legacy worth recognizing.
